How to burn LP tokens on Solana in 5 steps
When you create a Raydium pool, you receive LP tokens that represent your share of the pool. Burning them sends them to the Solana incinerator address (1nc1nerator11111111111111111111111111111111). The LP tokens are gone — but the underlying liquidity stays in the pool, locked forever.
Burning is irreversible. Once burned, no one — not the dev, not the platform, not even a hypothetical chain restart — can reclaim the locked liquidity.
Burn vs lock — which to choose?
Both achieve "liquidity is committed" but with different tradeoffs:
- Burn: permanent. Strongest trust signal. Liquidity can never be removed even by you. Best for memecoins where you have no plan to migrate.
- Lock: time-limited (6 months to several years). Allows future migration if needed. Less of a trust signal but more flexible.

Solana: PumpSwap and Raydium support

Is burning LP reversible?
No. Burning is final on both Solana and BSC. The LP tokens go to a one-way address with no withdrawal mechanism. The underlying liquidity stays in the pool forever.
Can I burn LP from Pump.fun migrated pools?
Yes. PumpSwap pools (where Pump.fun tokens land after graduating) are supported. Paste the LP mint address and Alchemii sends it to the burn address.
How do I prove the LP is burned?
Solscan shows the burned LP transaction destination (the incinerator address). DexScreener and most token-tracking tools auto-detect burned LP and add a 🔥 badge to the pair page.
How much does burning LP cost?
About 0.0001 SOL of network fees plus a small Alchemii service fee. The LP burn itself doesn't have any rent or per-token cost — it's a single transfer instruction.
