When to remove vs burn LP
Remove and burn are opposites:
- Remove: returns the underlying tokens (your share of base + quote) to your wallet. Use if you want tokens back.
- Burn: destroys your claim to the liquidity, locking it in the pool forever. Use to prove you won't rug.
If you're done supporting a project and want to recover your initial liquidity (subject to impermanent loss), remove. If you want to commit to the project, burn.
Pump.fun graduated pools: PumpSwap support
When a Pump.fun token graduates, its bonding-curve liquidity migrates to a PumpSwap pool (Pump.fun's native AMM, separate from Raydium). Alchemii supports removing liquidity from both Raydium AMM v4 and PumpSwap.
Paste the pool's LP mint address — Alchemii detects whether it's Raydium or PumpSwap and uses the correct withdrawal mechanism.
Impermanent loss when withdrawing
When you withdraw, the price of the pair has likely moved since you deposited. You'll receive a different mix of base + quote than what you put in:
- If the volatile side (memecoin) went up, you get back fewer memecoin tokens but more SOL.
- If the volatile side dropped, you get back more memecoin tokens but less SOL.
The total value (vs. just holding) may be lower — that's "impermanent loss". Withdraw is when impermanent loss becomes permanent (it's realized).
Frequently asked questions
Will I get back exactly what I deposited?
Almost certainly no. Pool ratios change as traders swap. You'll get back a different mix of base and quote based on the current pool state at the moment of withdrawal. The total value may be more or less than your initial deposit (impermanent loss).
How much does removing liquidity cost?
About 0.001-0.002 SOL of network fees plus a small Alchemii service fee. No special rent — just standard transaction fees for burning LP and receiving tokens.
Can I do partial withdrawal?
Yes. Specify the amount of LP tokens to burn (e.g., 50% of your holdings). The pool returns proportional underlying tokens.
Does removing from a Pump.fun graduated pool work?
Yes. PumpSwap pools (where graduated Pump.fun tokens land) are supported alongside Raydium AMM v4. Paste the LP mint address and Alchemii uses the correct removal flow.
