Robinhood meme coins are two different things. The first is the list of meme coins you can buy inside the Robinhood app: 13 of them on 3 October 2026, led by Dogecoin. The second is the new wave of meme coins born on Robinhood Chain, the Ethereum layer 2 (a cheaper network that settles to Ethereum) that Robinhood launched on 1 July 2026. Together, those Robinhood Chain meme coins are worth $653.7M, per CoinGecko. The boom peaked in September: since then our 18-coin basket has halved and new launches are down 84%.
Most Robinhood Chain coins start on Pons, a pump.fun-style launchpad where anyone can create a coin in one click. The most famous one, Cash Cat (CASHCAT), is now in the Robinhood app too. The coins are under 2% of the whole meme market, but the chain moved $53.9B through its DEXes (decentralized exchanges) in the last 30 days, more than Ethereum, BSC or Base. Below are the full Robinhood meme coins list, the top coins on the chain, the numbers behind the slowdown, and what it all means if you want to buy or launch one.
Disclosure: Alchemii sells a Robinhood Chain token creator and Pons launch tools, so we have a stake in this chain. Nothing here is a tip to buy a coin. Every number has a date and a source. The launch counts are our own, read from the chain, and the raw file is linked at the end.
Quick facts: Robinhood meme coins on 3 October 2026
One line sums it up: the chain is still busy, but new meme coins are no longer the reason. Trading fell 35% from the early-September peak. Launches fell 72% and Pons fees 78% over the same weeks.
Robinhood meme coins list: the 13 coins in the Robinhood app
Robinhood's supported crypto page lists 90 coins. Thirteen of them are meme coins. Here is the full Robinhood meme coins list, sorted by market cap, with what each did in the last 30 days.
| Meme coin | Born on | Market cap | 30-day price | Below its high | Tradable in NY? |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dogecoin (DOGE) | Dogecoin | $14.56B | +12.0% | −87% | Yes |
| Shiba Inu (SHIB) | Ethereum | $3.37B | +9.7% | −93% | Yes |
| Pepe (PEPE) | Ethereum | $1.80B | +22.3% | −85% | Yes |
| Official Trump (TRUMP) | Solana | $580M | −11.3% | −97% | No |
| Pudgy Penguins (PENGU) | Solana | $579M | +10.3% | −87% | No |
| Bonk (BONK) | Solana | $331M | +25.7% | −94% | Yes |
| Floki (FLOKI) | Ethereum | $264M | +11.8% | −92% | No |
| dogwifhat (WIF) | Solana | $252M | +26.0% | −95% | Yes |
| Cash Cat (CASHCAT) | Robinhood Chain | $155M | −40.3% | −50% | No |
| Peanut the Squirrel (PNUT) | Solana | $53.6M | +11.6% | −98% | No |
| Popcat (POPCAT) | Solana | $51.9M | +1.4% | −97% | No |
| cat in a dogs world (MEW) | Solana | $47.0M | +27.9% | −96% | No |
| Moo Deng (MOODENG) | Solana | $45.6M | +15.5% | −93% | No |
Four things stand out:
- Most of them were born on Solana. Seven of the 13 started there. Three come from Ethereum, Dogecoin has its own chain, and only one, CASHCAT, was born on Robinhood Chain.
- Eight of 13 cannot be traded in New York. That includes CASHCAT, TRUMP and PENGU. DOGE, SHIB, PEPE, BONK and WIF have no state limit on the list.
- The old memes are up and the new one is down. Eleven of the 13 rose over 30 days, led by MEW (+27.9%), WIF (+26.0%) and BONK (+25.7%). Only TRUMP (−11.3%) and CASHCAT (−40.3%) fell. Together the 13 are worth $22.09B, about 64% of the whole $34.61B meme coin market.
- One listing was paid for. Robinhood marks FLOKI with a footnote saying it received integration fees for the coin. No other meme coin carries that note.
Can you buy meme coins on Robinhood?
Yes, but only these 13 in the main Robinhood app. The thousands of other Robinhood Chain meme coins are not in the app. To trade those you use Robinhood Wallet, which is a separate self-custody app, or any Ethereum wallet set to Robinhood Chain. So the honest answer to "can you trade meme coins on Robinhood" is: the big, older ones in the app, the new ones on-chain.
How to buy meme coins on Robinhood
- Open the Robinhood app and search for the ticker, for example DOGE or CASHCAT.
- Choose Buy and enter an amount in dollars.
- Review the price and fee, then submit the order.
Check two things first. Your state must allow the coin (see the New York column above), and your account must have crypto trading turned on. Coins bought in the app are held by Robinhood for you, not in a wallet you control.
Robinhood Chain meme coins: the top 10 by market cap
CoinGecko tracks a Robinhood Chain Meme category. On 3 October it held 100 coins worth $653.7M, with $88.7M traded in 24 hours. That is about twice the Base meme category ($321.2M) and about one sixth of Solana's ($3.76B). These are the ten largest Robinhood Chain meme coins:
| # | Coin | Market cap | 30-day price | All-time high | Below its high |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Cash Cat (CASHCAT) | $155.0M | −40.3% | 3 Sep | −50% |
| 2 | Artificial Inu (AI) | $135.3M | −50.3% | 17 Sep | −65% |
| 3 | Boner Coin (BONER) | $51.0M | −10.4% | 7 Sep | −38% |
| 4 | Chump Coin (CHUMP) | $31.9M | −11.8% | 3 Sep | −44% |
| 5 | ubik (UBIK) | $19.9M | n/a (new) | 12 Sep | −50% |
| 6 | pipedog (PIPEDOG) | $18.0M | −35.1% | 29 Jul | −73% |
| 7 | A Meme Coin (AMC) | $15.2M | n/a (new) | 4 Sep | −90% |
| 8 | Thinking Cat (HMM) | $14.9M | −45.7% | 30 Aug | −61% |
| 9 | Bundle Cat (BUN) | $13.5M | n/a (new) | 28 Sep | −45% |
| 10 | ZZZ (ZZZ) | $12.0M | n/a (new) | 12 Sep | −82% |
Nine of the ten set their all-time high in late August or September. The newest ones fell fastest: A Meme Coin (AMC) is 90% below its 4 September high, and ZZZ is down 82%.
Robinhood memecoins rose 5× in a month, then halved
To see the whole wave, we added up the daily market cap of the 18 largest Robinhood Chain meme coins. We left out DEGEN, a 2024 Base coin that CoinGecko files in the category, and Little John, which has almost no price history.
The basket went from $191M on 15 August to $1.05B on 18 September, about 5.5 times in just over a month. It has fallen every week since and stood at $522M on 3 October. Fifteen of the 18 coins set their own peak in September, and the median coin is now 58% below it. Two fell almost to zero: GOOSE (−96%) and GreenHood (−95%).
Cat meme coins: why so many Robinhood Chain memes are cats
Because CASHCAT worked, and the fastest way to launch a meme is to copy one that works. Of the 100 coins in CoinGecko's category, 15 have "cat" or "kitty" in the name, including Baby Cash Cat, ROBINCAT and Hood Cats. Three of the top ten are cats (CASHCAT, Thinking Cat and Bundle Cat). In the Robinhood app, 3 of the 13 meme coins are cats too: CASHCAT, POPCAT and MEW. Search followed: US searches for "cat meme coins" went from 25 in July to 258 in August, per DataForSEO's clickstream data.
How to buy meme coins on Robinhood Chain
- Get ETH on Robinhood Chain. Buy it in Robinhood Wallet, or bridge ETH to Robinhood Chain from Ethereum or another layer 2. The network is chain ID 4663.
- Find the real contract. Copy the address from CoinGecko or the project's own site. Copycats with the same name are everywhere, and a name is free to copy.
- Swap. Use Robinhood Wallet's swap, Uniswap, or the Pons site for coins still on their bonding curve (the automatic price formula a new Pons coin trades on before it graduates). Swaps over $0.50 in Robinhood Wallet are gas-free until 31 December 2026.
- Check before you buy more than a little. Look at the top holders on the Robinhood Chain explorer. If a handful of wallets own most of the supply, walk away.
What is CASHCAT? The Robinhood meme coin that started it
CASHCAT is the coin people mean when they search "cashcat robinhood". It launched on Robinhood Chain in its first week, through a launchpad called Noxa. The name is a piece of company history: before they picked "Robinhood", the founders used CashCat as a working name, and Vlad Tenev posted about it in April 2021. The coin has no link to the company. Its own FAQ answers that question with: "No. We just think Cash Cat is a really good name they shouldn't have abandoned. This is fan fiction with a ticker" (BeInCrypto).
| Date (2026) | What happened | Source |
|---|---|---|
| 1 Jul | Robinhood Chain mainnet goes live | Robinhood newsroom |
| 8 Jul | CASHCAT rises about 1,700% in 24 hours and trades ~$98M, about 17% of the chain's DEX volume | crypto.news |
| 23 Jul | Hackers use CEO Vlad Tenev's X account to push a fake "official" coin, $VLAD | CoinDesk |
| 6 Aug | Robinhood lists CASHCAT in its app and on Legend; price goes from $0.0853 to $0.2143 in 15 hours | BeInCrypto |
| 3–4 Sep | All-time high; market cap peaks at $291.8M | CoinGecko |
| 3 Oct | $0.157, market cap $155M, −40% in 30 days | CoinGecko |
The 6 August listing matters more than any chart. It is the only time so far that a coin born on Robinhood Chain has made it into the Robinhood app, where most of Robinhood's customers are. That one event is why "cashcat" got 12,512 US searches in July and 9,135 in August, and why "cashcat robinhood" alone hit 1,000 in August (DataForSEO). It also explains the copycats. Every cat coin on the chain is, in a way, a bet on being the second one.
Being listed did not stop the slide. CASHCAT is 50% below its 3 September high and fell 40% in the last 30 days, while the older memes in the app went up.
Robinhood Chain memecoins by the numbers: volume, fees and launches
Robinhood Chain vs Solana, BSC and Base
In three months Robinhood Chain went from nothing to the second-busiest chain for DEX trading, out of 296 chains on DefiLlama, ahead of Ethereum ($43.2B in 30 days). It handled $101.4B since launch and $56.0B in September alone, against Solana's $78.3B that month. On 4 September it traded $3.67B in a day, almost twice Solana's $1.94B. Most of that volume runs through Uniswap: V3 and V4 together are 78% of the last 30 days.
New coins per day: from 36,449 to 5,948
DefiLlama tracks fees and volume, but not how many coins are launched. So we counted them ourselves: every launch event from the Pons V2 factory, one UTC day at a time, straight from the chain.
The Pons V2 factory went live on 3 August. It launched 663,753 coins in two months, 512,181 of them in September. The busiest day was 8 September, with 36,449. Then on 16 September launches fell by two-thirds in one day, from 31,170 to 10,830, and they never came back. On 2 October there were 5,948.
| Period (2026) | New Pons coins / day | Pons V2 fees / day | All Robinhood Chain fees / day | DEX volume / day |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4–31 Aug | 4,876 | $0.73M | $4.06M | $625M |
| 1–14 Sep (peak) | 24,182 | $6.87M | $17.83M | $2.33B |
| 15–28 Sep | 11,383 | $2.35M | $6.48M | $1.45B |
| 29 Sep–2 Oct | 6,768 | $1.48M | $5.25M | $1.51B |
| Change, peak → now | −72% | −78% | −71% | −35% |
Read the last row. Launches and fees fell by 70–78%, but DEX volume fell only 35%. People are still trading the coins that already exist. What stopped is the flood of new ones. In early September, Robinhood Chain's own gas fees were the highest of any chain (cryptonews.net), and fees across all apps on the chain peaked at $31.28M on 4 September, per DefiLlama. On 2 October they were $4.42M.
Meme coins paired with stock tokens
Robinhood Chain has something unusual: Robinhood's own tokenized stocks trade in the same open pools as meme coins, so traders can pair the two directly. Bloomberg reported on 2 October that memecoin-stock token pairs peaked near $440M of volume a day in early September before dropping off fast (Bloomberg via Yahoo Finance). A memecoin paired with the Hims & Hers stock token went from about $600,000 to about $80M in a week. One trader, Low Ze Sheng, told Bloomberg why he held a stock token he did not care about: "It feels like I'm in the Snapchat trade since I need to have it to buy the memecoin in the liquidity pool."
Are Robinhood meme coins dead? What changed in late September
No. But the easy phase is over. Here is what happened, in order.
Free gas was extended. Launches kept falling
For three months the story was that free gas would run out on 29 September and take the meme coins with it. That is not what happened. The decline started two weeks early, on 16 September. Then, on 29 September, Robinhood Crypto extended the offer instead of ending it: swaps over $0.50 in Robinhood Wallet on Robinhood Chain are gas-free until 31 December 2026 (PANews).
Launches barely moved. They averaged 6,018 a day on 26–28 September and 6,768 on 29 September–2 October, a 12% bump that faded by 2 October. That makes sense: the offer covers swaps in Robinhood Wallet, not launches, and not the bots that did most of the launching. Gas is also no longer expensive. We read a gas price of 0.024 gwei on 3 October (gwei is the unit gas is priced in; lower is cheaper). In early September, during the rush, the median base fee had been 0.467 gwei, about 20 times higher (cryptonews.net).
A rug ring, and the money going back to Solana
Two other things changed the mood.
First, the rugs got a name and a number. On 27 September The Block reported that an on-chain analyst, Wazz, tied $18.43M taken from 53 Robinhood Chain meme coins to one operation that ran from 10 July to 21 September. The method used a Pons V2 feature. Every new Pons coin has a 99% "snipe tax" for its first 3 seconds, so bots that buy instantly lose almost everything. But the creator can exempt chosen wallets from it. The operation exempted bundles of 70 to 200 of its own wallets, bought over 70% of each coin within seconds of launch, then sold to the buyers who came after.
Second, the money went back to Solana. Pons earned more fees than pump.fun and PumpSwap together on only 14 days, all between 30 August and 14 September. Since 15 September, pump.fun has been ahead every day.
| Day (2026) | Pons V2 fees | pump.fun + PumpSwap fees | Who earned more |
|---|---|---|---|
| 30 Aug | $4.70M | $4.58M | Pons |
| 5 Sep (Pons peak) | $11.06M | $3.36M | Pons, 3.3× |
| 14 Sep (last Pons win) | $5.19M | $4.97M | Pons |
| 15 Sep | $3.99M | $4.80M | pump.fun |
| 26 Sep | $1.65M | $8.29M | pump.fun, 5.0× |
| 2 Oct | $1.36M | $7.11M | pump.fun, 5.2× |
From the first half of September to the start of October, Pons fees fell 78% while pump.fun plus PumpSwap fees rose 47%. For more on that side of the market, see our meme coin market cap report.
Our take
We have seen this pattern twice before. The BNB Chain meme wave of October 2025 and the Base wave of February 2026 each lost about 90% of their launch fees within a month. Pons fees fell 88% in 27 days, from 5 September to 2 October. Robinhood Chain is on the same path.
Two things make it different, and both matter. First, trading has held up far better than launching: $1.5B a day is not a dead chain. Second, Robinhood keeps giving people reasons to stay: gas-free wallet swaps to year-end, its own stock tokens in the same pools, and a proven route into the Robinhood app. CASHCAT showed that route exists. Nobody has followed it yet. Our read: Robinhood memes are not dead, but they are now a normal meme market, not a gold rush. Coins will need real buyers, not just the chain's novelty.
Should you launch a Robinhood meme coin now?
Start with the odds. We checked every Pons V2 launch in two one-hour windows, one before the gas extension and one after, and asked the factory which ones had graduated. Graduation means a coin raised the 4.2 ETH (about $11,260) it needs to leave the bonding curve for a Uniswap pool.
| Launch window (UTC) | Launches | Graduated | Rate | Different creator wallets | Set 0% creator tax |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 16 Sep, 20:20–21:20 | 564 | 6 | 1.06% | n/a | 48% |
| 26 Sep, 20:00–21:00 | 226 | 2 | 0.88% | 202 (89%) | 28% |
| 1 Oct, 20:00–21:00 | 378 | 3 | 0.79% | 327 (87%) | 26% |
About 1 in 120 graduate, and that has barely changed. It was 1.06% in mid-September and 0.79–0.88% now. Two smaller shifts are worth knowing. Almost all launches come from different wallets: 87–89% in each window. And creators now charge more: the share setting a 0% creator tax fell from 48% to 26–28%, and the median tax rose from 1% to about 1.5%. Less trading to go around, and creators asking more of each trade.
Your two real options on Robinhood Chain:
| Pons bonding curve | Your own ERC-20 + Uniswap pool | Solana (for comparison) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cost to start | 0.0005 ETH (~$1.34) + gas | 0.015 ETH (~$40) + gas, then 0.01 ETH pool step | ~0.22 SOL (~$26) with Alchemii |
| Liquidity you supply | None; the curve is the market | Your own ETH deposit sets the price | Your own SOL deposit |
| Trading fee | 1% per trade on the curve | Your pool's fee tier (e.g. 1%), paid to your LP position | Your pool's fee |
| Supply | 1B fixed; you buy like everyone else | 100% in your wallet; you decide | 100% in your wallet |
| First 3 seconds | 99% snipe tax unless a wallet is exempted in the launch | No tax unless you add one | No tax |
| Odds of graduating | ~0.8–1% (our cohorts) | No graduation step | No graduation step |
| Best for | Free shot at the Pons feed | A coin with a community ready to buy | The biggest meme audience |
What we would do:
- If you already have people who will buy, launch your own coin. You keep the full supply, set the opening price with your own deposit, and nobody can exempt a bot army in the first second. Our guide on how to create a meme coin on Robinhood Chain walks through it, and the Robinhood Chain meme coin creator does it in one transaction.
- If you want a cheap shot, use Pons, but know what you are buying. For about $1.34 you get a coin on the busiest feed on the chain and a roughly 1% chance of graduating. Read how to launch a token on Pons and our Pons launchpad explained first.
- If you buy your own coin at launch, keep it small and say so. After The Block's report, buyers check holder lists. A coin where a few wallets hold most of the supply now looks exactly like a rug, even if it is not one.
- Plan for a quiet market. A September launch got noticed by default. An October launch needs a plan to find buyers. Our playbook on how to market a Robinhood Chain token covers the free and paid options.
Limitations
- CoinGecko's category is hand-curated. It includes coins that are not native to Robinhood Chain (we removed DEGEN) and misses coins CoinGecko does not track yet.
- Our launch count covers only the Pons V2 factory. Launches through Pons V1, Noxa and plain ERC-20 deployments are not counted, so the true total is higher.
- The graduation checks are one-hour samples, not a full count. A different hour would give a slightly different rate. The 16 September baseline comes from our earlier scan, published as pons-launch-scan-2026-09-17.json.
- DefiLlama's Pons V2 fees include trading after graduation, and DEX volume includes bot trading on every chain.
- Search volumes are US estimates from DataForSEO and run one month behind.
- This is a snapshot from 3 October 2026. Meme coin prices can move 50% in a day.
Summary
- Robinhood meme coins means 13 coins in the Robinhood app, plus a $653.7M market of meme coins on Robinhood Chain.
- The Robinhood Chain wave peaked in September. Our basket is down 50%, new Pons launches are down 84%, and Pons fees are down 88%.
- Gas did not cause the drop, and the chain is still busy: $53.9B of DEX volume in 30 days, second only to Solana.
- CASHCAT is the one Robinhood Chain coin in the Robinhood app. It is not affiliated with Robinhood and is 50% below its high.
- For creators: less noise, fewer buyers, and under 1 in 100 Pons coins graduate.
If you have a community ready to buy, create a meme coin on Robinhood Chain with your own supply and pool. For the bigger picture, read what Robinhood Chain is, compare it with the BNB meme coins wave, or check the whole meme coin market cap.
FAQ
Can you buy meme coins on Robinhood?
Yes. On 3 October 2026 the Robinhood app supported 13 meme coins: DOGE, SHIB, PEPE, TRUMP, PENGU, BONK, FLOKI, WIF, CASHCAT, PNUT, POPCAT, MEW and MOODENG. Eight of them, including CASHCAT and TRUMP, cannot be traded in New York. Thousands of other meme coins live on Robinhood Chain, Robinhood's own blockchain, but they are not in the main app. You trade those on-chain with Robinhood Wallet or another wallet such as MetaMask.
What are the top Robinhood Chain meme coins?
By market cap on 3 October 2026, the largest were Cash Cat (CASHCAT, $155.0M), Artificial Inu (AI, $135.3M), Boner Coin (BONER, $51.0M), Chump Coin (CHUMP, $31.9M) and ubik (UBIK, $19.9M), according to CoinGecko. The whole Robinhood Chain Meme category was worth $653.7M. Most of these coins set their highs in early September, and the top ten now trade 38% to 90% below them. New coins appear every day, so check CoinGecko's category page for a live list.
Is CASHCAT affiliated with Robinhood?
No. CASHCAT is a community meme coin launched on Robinhood Chain in July 2026 through the Noxa launchpad. The name comes from Robinhood's history: CashCat was the founders' working name before they chose Robinhood, and CEO Vlad Tenev posted about it in 2021. The project's own FAQ calls the coin "fan fiction with a ticker." Robinhood listed CASHCAT in its app on 6 August 2026, but a listing is not an endorsement.
Are Robinhood meme coins dead?
Not dead, but cooling fast. Our basket of the 18 largest Robinhood Chain meme coins is down 50% from its 18 September peak, new Pons launches are down 84% from their 8 September high, and Pons fees are down 88%. Trading has held up better: Robinhood Chain still did about $1.5B of DEX volume a day in early October, second only to Solana. The BNB Chain and Base meme waves each lost about 90% of their launch fees within a month.
Is gas still free on Robinhood Chain?
Partly. Robinhood has paid the gas on swaps made in Robinhood Wallet since the chain launched. The offer was due to end on 29 September 2026, but that day Robinhood Crypto extended it: swaps over $0.50 in Robinhood Wallet on Robinhood Chain stay gas-free until 31 December 2026. Other transactions, and swaps from other wallets, pay gas in ETH. Gas is cheap anyway: we read a gas price of 0.024 gwei on 3 October.
Does Robinhood Chain have its own token?
No. Robinhood Chain uses ETH for gas and has no native token, and Robinhood has not announced one or any airdrop. Coins that use Robinhood's name, such as CASHCAT or GreenHood (HOOD), are community meme coins with no link to the company. Be careful with anything sold as official: in July 2026, hackers used Vlad Tenev's X account to promote a fake coin called $VLAD as the official Robinhood Chain mascot.
How do you buy meme coins on Robinhood Chain?
You need ETH on Robinhood Chain, then you swap it for the coin. The simplest route is Robinhood Wallet, where swaps over $0.50 are gas-free until 31 December 2026. You can also bridge ETH to Robinhood Chain (chain ID 4663) and use MetaMask with Uniswap or the Pons site. Always copy the contract address from CoinGecko or the project's own page, because copycat coins with the same name are common.
Should I launch a meme coin on Robinhood Chain now?
Only if you have a reason for people to buy it. Daily launches fell from 36,449 to about 6,000, so there is less noise, but there are fewer buyers too: in our latest checks only 0.79% to 0.88% of Pons coins graduated. A Pons launch costs about $1.34 plus gas. If you already have a community, your own ERC-20 and Uniswap pool (0.015 ETH plus gas, then 0.01 ETH and your liquidity) gives you control of the supply and the price.
